Finance and Personnel Committee Meeting
held on 11th September 2023 at 1 pm (remote meeting)

34/23 Apologies for absence – *Not sure if Sue was in attendance.
35/23 Dispensations – Non-received
36/23 Declarations of Interest, Dispensations or Use of Delegated Powers. None
37/23 Minutes of the Previous F & P Committee meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting held
on 25th July were approved by full council on 12th September 2023.
38/23 Payments for consideration from 1st August to 5th September 2023 – The payments were approved for recommendation to full council. Payments authorised ahead of the meeting by the two signatories were also approved. G Webb and P Athawes
Bank reconciliation as at 31st August 2023 – noted and recommended to be accepted for approval.
Reserved Business. Exclusion of the Public and Press. In view of the nature of the business to be transacted any members of the public and press to be temporarily excluded from the meeting (Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 s.1). Items 32/23 & 33/23
At this point the meeting was closed to press and public.
32/23 To agree the source of funding for the Archaeological Strip, Map &
Sample excavation required as a condition under planning application P21/V1924/FUL
It was recommended that the costs would be taken from EMR for the project.
33/23 Staffing matters (at this point CP & JF left the meeting)
Parish Clerk position – to review and agree the recruitment pack
for the post of Parish Clerk. (Previously circulated)
Members reviewed the recruitment pack and advised on some changes to be made such as job title, add remote working possibility, hours to remain at 20 per week.
Members were asked to send over some information about Drayton to the Locum Clerk to be added into the recruitment pack.
Once the amendments are made then the recruitment process can commence.
The Chairperson declared the meeting closed at 2.30pm
