Saturday 5th March – 10:45 to 11:15am
This Saturday there will be an unveiling of a new memorial to the people and dogs killed on 5th March 1957 when a Blackburn Beverley C Mk1 heavy transport aircraft crashed in Sutton Wick.
The service will start at 10:45 and last until 11:15, with a minutes silence at 11am as that is close to the time of the crash and the 11 hour is obviously quite symbolic to Remembrance events.
In attendance there will be Senior Military ranks from the UK and overseas as well as an RAF Bugler and Padre with representatives from local bases and uniformed groups, including Thames Valley Police.
The Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire and heads of County & District Councils have also been invited.
Further details and accounts of the air crash can be found at Sutton Wick air crash
